Why use a generated block pattern?
A sphere is not one circle repeated vertically. Every horizontal slice has a different radius. BlockShape calculates the full 3D voxel volume and displays each build layer in order.
Choose the overall sphere diameter.
Use shell mode for a hollow sphere or filled mode for a solid one.
Start at layer 1 and move upward using the layer controls.
Frequently asked questions
How many layers does the sphere have?
The number of layers equals the selected diameter.
What shell thickness should I use?
One block is efficient for decorative builds. Thicker shells are useful when you need interior walls or a more forgiving construction.
Is the total block count exact?
It is exact for the voxel pattern generated by this tool. Real builds may use extra scaffolding or temporary support blocks.
